Jeremy Josse

Full Bio

Jeremy has over 20 years of experience covering the Financial Institutions sector, specializing in highly structured capital raising (debt, equity, hybrid equity, tier 1 and tier 2 bank capital and preferred securities), financial restructurings and solvency opinions, equity and debt valuations and fairness opinions, mergers and acquisitions, and financial services product structuring and strategic advisory.

He has been responsible over that time for originating and executing over $30bn of mid-market and large cap transactions in the Financial Institutions sector – including for banks, specialty finance companies, asset managers and brokers/exchanges – in the U.S. and in Europe.

Prior to joining Brock Capital, Jeremy served, inter alia, as a director and then co-head of the US Financial Institutions Group at Rothschild over ten years, in London and New York, providing a wide range of investment banking services within Rothschild’s Financial Institutions team. He also spent five years at Schroder Salomon (Citigroup) and three years in KPMG’s financial services practice.

He is a published author of the Wiley book “Dinosaur Derivatives” as well having a by-line with TheStreet and is a research fellow at Sy Syms business School. In addition, Jeremy has published and continues to publish articles on various aspects of the US and European financial institutions sector, including on developments in, and the workings of, the mid market US ‘shadow’ banking sector, the financial technology sector, and the alternative asset management space.

He is a regular speaker at conferences on a range of strategic and financial issues in the banking and specialty finance sectors.

In 2007, Jeremy was a member of UK Advisory Board to the Israeli Government Ariav Committee on the development of the Israeli financial services and banking sector.
